Welcome to the Year 2 page of our school website. A day in our class consists of maths, reading, writing and our afternoon subject. On an afternoon we teach one subject per week, with a recap quiz and consolidation lessons at the end of every half term. Here is a small overview of some of the things your child will learn throughout the year.

In maths we learn things from addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to shape and measurements. Physical resources such as base 10, tens frames, hundred squares and counters are always available for children to use within their learning. In English we will be reading books from The Snail and The Whale to Fantastic Mr Fox. Learning a range of writing and grammar skills along the way.

Our PE day is Thursday, on this day children will attend school in their PE clothes.

Homework and spellings are given out every Friday and are to be returned into school by the following Thursday.
