This policy is intended to be read by parents of children at Featherstone Academy. Uniform is compulsory at Featherstone Academy and we are proud of our uniform. We believe that wearing uniform promotes a sense of belonging and unity. Wearing the uniform helps to maintain our calm school approach, whilst reinforcing our school value of Responsibility.
A school uniform provides children with a sense of belonging. We are proud of our uniform at Featherstone Academy, and we would like to remind parents that we expect the correct uniform to be worn every day in school.
Our school uniform consists of:
- School Sweatshirt or Cardigan with or without logo (Royal Blue)
- White Shirt/School Polo Shirt with or without logo
- Grey Skirt/Trousers
- Blue checked dress (during summer term)
- Shoes – black (no trainers)
- Nursery children – Yellow Polo Shirt with or without logo
- Little Learners children – Pale Blue Polo Shirt with or without logo
Physical Education plays an important part of the school curriculum and parents should provide children with kit suitable for gymnastics and dance in the school hall and for games outside.
Our school PE kit consists of:
- White T-shirt (with or without logo)
- Royal blue shorts / plain joggers
- Plain dark coloured jumper
- Black pumps/trainers
Children are to come to school in PE kit on their PE days.
